Department: US Sales
The North America Sales organization at Signifyd is dedicated to empowering e-commerce businesses to grow fearlessly by eliminating fraud, preventing chargebacks, and safeguarding their bottom line. Our primary focus is on driving new logo acquisition, partnering with online merchants across diverse industries—from leading enterprise retailers to rapidly growing e-commerce businesses—to maximize their revenue by approving more legitimate orders and significantly reducing the financial burden of fraud and consumer abuse.
We provide a cutting-edge Commerce Protection Platform that leverages advanced ML and our vast global Commerce Network to deliver real-time, guaranteed decisions on every transaction. To effectively penetrate and expand within the market, our team thrives on deep cross-functional collaboration. We work hand-in-hand with Solutions Engineering to craft bespoke demonstrations, Marketing for targeted outreach campaigns, Product for roadmap insights and deep-dives, and Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term value for our new clients. This integrated approach is essential as we deliver unparalleled value and secure the trust of new merchants across North America.
The Role:
Signifyd is looking for Sales Account Executives (AEs) who are looking to grow their career in the fast-growing ecommerce space. You'll manage net new growth within the SMB and Mid-Market segments, selling to some of the world's most respected and admired brands. You will report to the Mid-Market Head of Sales.
This is a position that extends beyond traditional transactional selling, requiring a consultative, strategic, and creative approach to build trusted advisor relationships across organizations. It requires a proven track record balancing multiple client priorities, conveying value in ways that resonate across various stakeholders, and building a strong ecosystem of advocates - including C-suite decision makers, internally and externally.
Account Executives identify and close new business in each of Signifyd's target industries toward an annual quota with monthly targets. While many of the organizations in this space are familiar with traditional anti-fraud tools, AEs at Signifyd will be a consultative partner to merchants, assisting and educating them on the benefits of Signifyd’s approach to it and the significance of changing the fraud strategy of an organization from only loss prevention to include business automation and increasing order acceptance rates.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full sales cycle, including cold outbound prospecting, interest development, value proposition alignment, ROI development and presentation, and contract and pricing negotiation.
- Develop creative strategies for outbound prospecting and pipeline generation across assigned accounts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales engineering, data science, risk management, and customer success to drive results.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for prospects by delivering education, engaging interactions, compelling content, and thought leadership that build trust and long-term relationships.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce (SFDC), using it as the single source of truth for prospect accounts and opportunities. Capture detailed call and meeting reports to document customer needs, deliverables, and next steps for alignment with partners and leadership.
- Travel up to 20% as needed
Requirements:
- Has 2+ years of outside sales, solution selling of software services into the Mid-Market segment.
- Experience selling $50K+ ACV deals
- Self-starter who can demonstrate development, growth, and expansion of a territory
- Proven track record of effective outbound prospecting, managing sales cycles independently with accurate pipeline management and forecasting
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales engineering, data science, risk management, CS, Product, Marketing, VE, and implementation teams
- Experience with fraud, eCommerce, payments is a plus
Compensation Details:
This is a sales role with a 50/50 compensation structure—meaning for every dollar in base salary, there is equal earning potential in commissions when performance targets are met.
