Databricks Platform Cloud Engineer Location: Latin America (fully remote, flexible schedule) This role involves managing, automating, and optimizing a modern data analytics platform to enable data teams to operate efficiently, securely, and at scale. The position blends hands‑on administration with infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) automation using Terraform, supporting business‑critical analytics initiatives in a dynamic remote environment. Accountabilities Manage and maintain the Databricks platform, including users, access controls, clusters, workspaces, and jobs Automate platform provisioning and environment management using Terraform and IaC principles Oversee platform security and compliance, implementing policies via SCIM, IAM, Unity Catalog, and SSO Monitor platform performance, logging, and cost efficiency using tools such as Datadog and CloudWatch Manage networking and cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or GCP to ensure reliability and scalability Collaborate with data and analytics teams to support efficient, secure, and high‑performing workflows Requirements 10+ years of experience in Databricks platform administration, including Admin Console, REST API, and CLI Strong IaC & DevOps skills: Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Proficiency in platform security and governance, including SCIM, IAM, Unity Catalog, and SSO Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and logging APIs Ability to manage and optimize complex cloud‑based data infrastructure Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in remote, cross‑functional teams Benefits Fully remote work with a flexible schedule across Latin America Opportunity to work with cutting‑edge cloud and data analytics technologies Hands‑on role with significant impact on platform performance, security, and scalability Professional growth and mentorship in DevOps, cloud engineering, and data infrastructure Collaborative and dynamic team environment Exposure to multiple cloud providers and enterprise‑scale analytics solutions Seniority level: Mid‑Senior Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Information Technology Industries: Non‑profit Organizations, Primary, and Secondary Education #J-18808-Ljbffr
