DESCRIPTIONWe're seeking an experienced Database Solutions Architect with expertise in AWS database services and Generative AI technologies to join our team. In this role, you'll design comprehensive solution architectures, helping them navigate their cloud transformation journey and implement database and AI solutions.Key job responsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:- Design and deploy highly scalable, enterprise-grade solutions leveraging AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, RedShift, DocumentDB)- Architect sophisticated Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions utilizing Amazon Kendra and OpenSearch- Develop robust integrations between AWS databases and Amazon Bedrock AI services- Implement best practices for security, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization- Lead architectural reviews and technical workshops focused on database migration and modernizationCustomer Engagement:- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to SMB executives on cloud transformation strategies- Provide deep technical expertise to advance AWS Database Services adoption- Collaborate with AWS specialist, sales, and product teams to solve customers' most challenging business problems- Educate customers on AWS's value proposition for data management workloads- Act as primary point of contact for urgent customer issues in your technical specialtyInnovation & Knowledge Sharing- Develop proof-of-concept implementations combining database services with Large Language Models- Champion industry best practices through AWS blogs, white papers, and reference architectures- Present at key industry events including AWS re:Invent, AWS Summit, and major conferences- Stay current with emerging trends in Database, Analytics, and Generative AI technologies- Provide feedback to AWS product teams on customer-specific requirements**Qualifications**:Required- Deep experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.)- Strong background in database architecture, migration, and optimization- Experience with at least one major database platform: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or NoSQL databases- Proven ability to design and implement complex database solutions- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiencesPreferred- Experience with Generative AI technologies and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) implementations- Background in database migration projects, particularly from on-premises to cloud environments- Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Kendra, or other AWS AI services- History of technical leadership in customer-facing rolesAbout the teamAWS Global Sales (AGS) drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud.
