Your peers will inspire, drive, support you, and make you laugh out loud We help our customers free up time and space to become an Autonomous Digital Enterprise that conquers the opportunities ahead - and are relentless in the pursuit of innovation This position reports to the Senior Manager – Americas Accounting and will lead a team of senior-level accounting personnel, including oversight of services performed by the global shared services team in Pune, India, and interaction with international teams to achieve financial goals and develop accounting systems and policies. Responsibilities Manage the monthly and quarterly US GAAP close process for the Latin America region, ensuring accurate account maintenance in accordance with US GAAP, meeting corporate deadlines, and applying quality control processes. Oversee the annual statutory accounts filing process for certain entities across Latin America, coordinating with audit firms, legal and tax providers, and company directors. Stay informed on updates to local accounting, tax, and US GAAP requirements and integrate these into daily accounting processes to ensure compliance. Manage various SOX compliance processes on a monthly and quarterly basis for the region. Interface with Corporate internal audit to assess controls and procedures and implement changes where required. Monthly review of trial balances and financial reports with analytical review of risk areas and coordinate adjustments with the Financial Shared Services organization. Perform variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement monthly to identify potential adjustments. Review and approve monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Calculate and/or review entity-level accounting for compliance with intercompany agreements. Review and prepare statutory audit documentation and coordinate documentation prepared by Financial Shared Services. Liaise with Tax, FP&A, Legal and other stakeholders to assess risks and priorities. Work with AP and Payroll to forecast cash requirements and entity profitability. Advise and assist Legal on corporate secretarial and financial matters related to legal entity establishment. Manage a small team of senior accountants. Qualifications Experience in corporate/regional accounting and financial controls in a public company environment or public accounting firm. Strong knowledge of financial principles and US GAAP. Proficiency with software applications; experience with Oracle and OneStream is a plus. Experience with team leadership, including mentoring, performance management, and professional development. Strong communication skills in English, Portuguese and Spanish for regular partnering with executives and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly learn new systems, multi-task, and prioritize in a dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to perform complex calculations and review complex reconciliations of large data sets. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Education/Training Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting; CPA (or equivalent certification). 5+ years of work experience in an international environment; experience in Information Technology industry is a plus.
