About the role

Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for multiple high-traffic Magento-based eCommerce websites, quickly identifying and resolving issues
  • Oversee bi-weekly release management, ensuring smooth deployments and handling any code-related challenges
  • Architect new projects from a technical standpoint, creating efficient and scalable solutions while avoiding over-engineering
  • Manage and allocate resources from a pool of 20-25 developers, ensuring multiple projects run in parallel and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Conduct regular stand-ups, monitor project progress, and resolve blockers for the team.
  • Be hands-on with coding when necessary to solve critical production issues or provide technical guidance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including front end teams and other departments, to ensure cohesive project execution

Must have requirements:

  • Magento Expertise: In-depth experience with the Magento platform, including production support, development, and architecture
  • eCommerce Knowledge: Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, especially those with high traffic and complex requirements
  • Technical Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a team of onshore and offshore developers
  • Architectural Experience: Ability to design and implement scalable, efficient solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Back end Development: Strong hands-on experience with back end technologies, including PHP and related frameworks
  • Full-Stack Experience: Familiarity with front-end technologies like jQuery and KnockoutJS is a plus
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile development environment, including conducting stand-ups and managing sprints
