Data Engineer Analyst (Temporary) Level: Senior – Working Hours: Part Time (20h/Week) Job Summary: You will report to the Head of Business Systems & Data and join the Data & Business Systems team. This temporary role focuses on maintaining, improving, and scaling AWS‑based data infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure data pipelines, datasets, and reporting layers. Responsibilities Design, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Redshift, etc.). Structure and organize the Data Lake and Data Warehouse, ensuring performance, scalability, and naming consistency. Create and manage analytical datasets and views to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analysis. Implement and monitor data quality, backup routines, and security controls for data reliability. Collaborate with analysts and business users to translate data needs into query‑efficient datasets. Propose and apply data architecture improvements, including partitioning, schema optimization, and lifecycle management. Document data flows, transformations, and models as part of the Data Governance initiative. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL pipelines for smooth daily operations and timely data availability. Qualifications Experience with AWS data tools, especially S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Redshift (or similar). Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and transformation. Knowledge of data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensions, fact tables). Understanding of ETL orchestration and workflow tools. Familiarity with data backup, lifecycle management, and access control practices. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Previous experience in data engineering, data operations, or analytics engineering roles. Experience with BI platforms (e.g., Zoho Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Metabase). Familiarity with version control (Git) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO).
