We are looking for an AWS-focused DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure to support mission-critical applications. This is a flexible role that can be structured as full-time or part-time depending on needs.

We are looking for an AWS-focused DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure to support mission-critical applications. This is a flexible role that can be structured as full-time or part-time depending on needs.

What You'll Do

• Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation .
• CI/CD Pipelines: Own and optimize deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage and scale workloads with ECS/Fargate or EKS (Kubernetes) .
• Networking & Security: Configure VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and enforce least-privilege access.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting across AWS services (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) with compliance-grade rigor.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Bolt engineers and client teams to ensure deployments are seamless and infrastructure supports rapid iteration.
• Cost Optimization: Track and manage AWS costs, implement budgets and alerts, and recommend efficiencies.

• Secure, reproducible infrastructure that passes compliance checks (SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA as applicable).
• Automated CI/CD pipelines delivering production changes reliably and quickly.
• Containers orchestrated with best practices for scalability and security.
• Monitoring and alerts that allow proactive response to issues.
• Documentation and runbooks that empower developers to work confidently.

Must-Haves

• 3+ years professional experience with AWS in production environments.
• Strong expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Experience with ECS/EKS , containerization, and Kubernetes best practices.
• Hands-on with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Deep knowledge of VPC networking , IAM roles, and AWS security best practices.
• Monitoring/logging setup on AWS (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior FinTech industry experience
• Familiarity with secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).
• Knowledge of RDS, DynamoDB, S3 lifecycle policies, KMS encryption.
• Experience with Infrastructure cost optimization and FinOps.
• Background in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
