Sr/Software Engineer - Backend (Brazil - Sao Paulo)

Role: Sr/Software Engineer - Backend (Brazil - Sao Paulo) at Claravine. The position focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing the server-side components of our platform. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. You should be comfortable with databases, server-side scripting languages, application programming interfaces (APIs), and server architecture to ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.

What You'll Do
  • Work with data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.
  • Create maintainable, testable and reusable code
  • Develop features with security best-practices in mind.
  • Audit existing codebase to improve performance
  • Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage
Requirements
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with increasing responsibility
  • Professional experience writing enterprise code
  • Desire to learn and solve problems no matter the technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of back-end programming languages in our tech stack
  • Extensive experience in software development, scripting and project management
  • Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic) and automated testing frameworks
