About the opportunity:

• Produce high-quality, performant, and testable code that directly contributes to company-wide initiatives
• Develop using technologies such as Elixir, Ruby, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS/Lambda, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
• Have input into technical decisions shaping future software
• Learn new concepts, design patterns, or initiatives to push the company forward
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback
• Pair up with teammates to work on features
• Deploy user-facing code to production
• Collaborate with product and engineering management
• 3-5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building reusable components and component libraries
• Experience building production-ready web applications and systems
• Passion for testing practices and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git, TypeScript, and remote deployment tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with event-based architectures, database fundamentals and GraphQL
• Curiosity about retail/e-commerce and sustainable business models

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Kafka for event-streaming
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with Storybook
• Experience building microservices
• Experience building eCommerce platforms
• Experience with a CMS (Prismic)
• Experience with mobile development for iOS/Android
