In this role, you'll lead the modernization of a high-impact enterprise platform, moving from legacy systems to a cutting-edge TypeScript/React/Node.js stack. You'll collaborate with cross-regional teams, guide architecture, and mentor developers — all while delivering scalable, high-quality software that drives real results.


This position is open only to candidates based in Argentina or Uruguay. Applicants from other countries will not be considered.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the modernization of an enterprise platform, migrating from legacy systems to a modern stack with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Integrate frontend components with backend logic to build scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Develop reusable, testable, and efficient code with a focus on low latency and high availability.
  • Implement best practices for application security and data protection.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams and contribute to the integration of data warehousing solutions.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development, including at least 5 years working with React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and integration of multiple data sources and databases into a single system.
  • Proven experience in user authentication/authorization, security and accessibility compliance, and designing scalable applications.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, CSS preprocessors, server-side templating, and designing database schemas that support business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing, unit testing, version control using Git, and optimizing applications for multiple delivery platforms (mobile and desktop).

Nice to Have
  • Experience working with cloud-based deployments and maintaining applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration in distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of modern frontend and backend design patterns.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques for large-scale applications.
