Overview

Nubank is the world's largest digital banking platform outside of Asia, serving over 118 million customers across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. The Controllership team ensures the correct accounting of Nubank's products and that all accounting information and related reports comply with regulatory requirements. The team develops accounting scripts, financial statements, and internal controls to improve efficiency and security of financial information.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and the accounting consolidation of group companies, ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
  • Perform reconciliations to guarantee data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for various business areas, providing accounting analyses and guidance to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with accounting practices in the financial services sector, including familiarity with Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) regulations.
  • Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Solid knowledge of accounting closing routines and financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with SAP accounting modules (FI / MM).

Our work model is hybrid and cycles can be from two to three months according to business needs. For every eight to ten weeks of remote work, one will be in the office.
