Job Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring existing sales in the Italian market and increasing their volume, as well as being responsible for acquiring new customers to drive revenue growth and strengthen market leadership. This position will also be responsible for expanding and leading the new sales team.

Tasks and ResponsibilitiesManage customer(s):
  • Clearly understand the specifics of existing customers.
  • Resolve customer requests and needs within 1-3 days, depending on the complexity and urgency of the request.
  • Address customer inquiries via phone or email.
  • Clearly understand customer needs and guidelines regarding documentation and sampling.
  • Receive and appropriately handle customer complaints regarding samples sent or otherwise.
  • Work with the Spain team to provide the best service to customers.
Manage orders:
  • Work closely with the Customer Service department during the order management process.
Develop local sales, business development and market growth strategies and initiatives:
  • Develop business development and market growth strategies.
  • Identify and leverage new opportunities in the Italian market.
  • Develop initiatives based on a business plan.
  • Meet agreed objectives.
Attract new customers:
  • Establish a direct relationship with customers to help them achieve their goals and build long-term relationships.
  • Ensure a clear understanding from specific customers at all levels of who CPL is and how CPL could help them with their needs.
  • Increase customer connection with CPL technologies to support desired outcomes.
  • Position and bundle product ranges to provide value-added initiatives that generate revenue.
  • Use data to identify opportunities and develop effective business initiatives and events to generate growth.
  • Develop targeted and scalable communications to promote CPL technology to customers.
  • Design joint marketing strategies for the department.
  • Participate in new product development and follow up with technical management.
  • Continuously improve sales and customer service levels.
Manage accounts and budget(s):
  • Manage gross margin and deliver profitable results.
  • Report sales at local level.
Manage and coordinate the sales team:
  • Provide leadership to the commercial team (if any) and ensure necessary collaboration and communication between the team and support functions.
  • Inspire the team (if any) to collaborate and work with transparency.
  • Ensure and encourage that best practices and success stories are shared across the organization.
  • Think strategically and analytically, solve problems through research and investigation, and show judgment in decision making.
  • Develop and manage a high performance team (if any).
  • Support and improve the CPL quality system.
Skills and Attributes Required
  • Italian and English skills.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Residency in Italy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Commercial and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement strategies.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Able to prioritize workload without supervision.
  • Flexibility to travel for business.
