Enterprise Architect

**This is a Remote / Work from Home Opportunity. It will require some potential travel to client sites in the future when it is safe.**We are hiring an **Enterprise Architect****Job Purpose**:This is a client facing Enterprise Architect to understand their IT landscape and architect software solutions. We require an expert in designing and understanding enterprise wide architectural solutions and Java based technologies. You will l be deployed out to client sites to solve complex problems throughout all phases of project lifecycle.**Key Result Areas**:- Provides thought-leadership to fellow team members and the client across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements. Including crafting the architectural solution that will deliver on the functional and technical requirements, evaluating risks and explaining the tradeoffs between choices and, focusing on how the EIS Suite fits into a client’s overall IT infrastructure both current and future.- Expert knowledge within the insurance industry domain and specialization in how Pre-Configured solutions can be architected to meet enterprise goals.- Has a solid understanding of reuse and portability in terms of enterprise solutions seeking to determine and develop repeatable, efficient and optimal ways of implementing the EIS Suite.- Focused on customer success (realization of business benefit).- Provides support to one large or complex client or multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Actively participating in the solution development, architectural direction, and implementation providing crucial input throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.- Identifies and drives EIS Suite enhancements with Product Engineering and Pre-Configured solutions from trends in client requirements, implementation experience and competitor offerings.- Acts in advisory capacity to sales and service management on business and technical issues having particular focus on understanding solutions based on a broad knowledge of technology.- Participates in the development of additional consulting opportunities within the customer base.- Mentors team members on architectural topics.- Collaborate with Lead System Architects and client team members to ensure solutions meet/perform to technical requirements.- Ability to communicate at all levels of the client’s enterprise.- Ability to form relationships with senior level technical and business levels with clients.**Time Allocation**- Delivery: 80%- Professional Development: 10%- Administrative Tasks: 5%- Utilization of 80%**Critical Competencies**Functional Expertise:- Business Decision Making- Consultative Skills- Opportunity Identification- Work and Decision Quality- Comfort Around Higher Mgmt + Clients- Conflict Mgmt and Negotiating- Delivery and Drive for Results- Customer FocusBehavioral and Interpersonal:- Influential Leader- Self- motivated- Flexible and adaptable to change- Effective communicator across all audiences- Integrity and trust- TeamworkManagerial:- Develop talent within the organization- Coaching and mentoringSupervisory Responsibility:- Responsible for mentoring and monitoring the quality of team member’s deliverables including clients, partners and fellow EIS employees.**Minimum Level of Education/Experience**:- Typically requires BS Degree with 12 years of experience, or Masters Degree with 8 years of experience (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering).- Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java),Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL- DDD experience- Proven experience building Microservices (Kafka, Spring Boot), SOA platforms- Understanding Event-Driven architectureEIS Group is an equal opportunity employer (EOE), M/F/Disability/Veterans, and strongly supports diversity in the workforce.
