**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**
Main Purpose
The MSL will act as a scientific expert between Bayer and the medical community through the dissemination and discussion of scientific data. The MSL establishes long-term scientific strategies with leading and influential physicians/scientists and with leading medical associations and academic centers of excellence.
These relationships will ensure that opinion leaders and organizations have access to relevant scientific information and that information is shared with the medical community. MSL uses its experience and expertise to interact with leading physicians and healthcare professionals through one-on-one interaction, small group discussions, symposium lecture presentations, and interactions associated with sponsored medical education programs and research protocols. The MSL facilitates TL's involvement in national, regional and local organizations, educational forums including advisory boards, symposiums and Medical Education (EMC).
The MSL is also an important partner for Bayer's internal teams, communicating relevant information from opinion leaders (TLs) to key cross-functional partners.
The MSL demonstrates a solid understanding of its role and function within Bayer and/or other companies. He/she has the ability to assume leadership and mentoring roles and is well respected as a clinical resource. He/she is able to get up to speed quickly in a new therapeutic area.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identification of TLS/Profile/Segmentation, Strategy and Engagement Planning: In alignment with the medical strategy, as stipulated in the Integrated Brand Plan, MSL contributes to understanding specific interests of TLS, experience and impact on the medical community in general.
- Participation and networking in congresses and conventions: MSL uses congresses and conventions to do networking with TLS, establish new contacts and evaluation of competitive intelligence.
- Coordination of scientific education activities and advisory councils: MSL plans and organizes scientific training, education events/sessions and advisory councils with TLS within its areas.
- Reporting and tracking activities: The MSL periodically submits reports of interactions and field events, as well as tracking activities against agreed performance management objectives and the country's medical activity plan.
- Collecting research ideas started by the researcher (IIR) and facilitating the configuration of IIR: MSL acts as a point of contact for researchers, facilitating the interface with the researchers and appropriate personnel of Bayer Pharma, responsible for the approval and communication of progress and conclusion of the study;
- Interactions with Medical Societies: MSL meets doctors /scientific meetings of medical societies regarding Bayer Pharma products.
**ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?**
- Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, pharmacology or medicine.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience as an MSL or experience with drug information, clinical research and development, or other relevant clinical activities.
- Knowledge of therapeutic products.
- Participation in a project from inception to completion.
- Understanding the design and rationale of clinical trials.
- Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to build productive working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Basic problem solving skills.
- Written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement with thought leaders and MSL peers.
- Advanced English would be ideal.
- Availability to travel (75% of the time).
