As a lead engineer on our AI & product team, you’ll ship new AI-powered tools that give entrepreneurs real leverage — from conversational business plan builders to RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) systems that personalize the experience for each business owner. You’ll work closely with the founder, product, and design to bring ideas from prototype to production and directly impact millions of business owners.What You’ll DoBuild and ship new AI features using OpenAI APIs, vector embeddings, and smart chat flows.Develop and refine systems that combine user data, business context, and public funding info to make every AI interaction feel personalized.Contribute to Skip’s entire product stack: React/Next.Js, Node.Js, TypeScript, Postgres, and Supabase.Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate — we move fast and get real features in real users’ hands.Work as a forward-deployed engineer: collaborating directly with product, design, and customer feedback to find what works.About You5+ years of software engineering experience — ideally with some AI, LLM, or RAG experience.Comfortable with TypeScript, React/Next.Js, and building consumer or SMB-facing applications.Excited to solve real problems for real entrepreneurs — not just build features in a vacuum.Confident communicator in English, able to work closely with a remote team in the Americas time zone.You care about impact: you want your work to empower millions of people to build and grow.Why This Role?You’ll be one of the core engineers shaping Skip’s AI Cofounder — a new way to help entrepreneurs skip the red tape and succeed.You'll be joining an inspiring and motivated team including an existing Brazil teamYou’ll have major product and technical ownership, not just tickets.You’ll see your work help real businesses every day — from side hustlers to growing teams.CompensationBase Salary: $60,000–$80,000 USD equivalent (paid in USD or BRL)Equity: 0.10%–0.40% — meaningful, because you’re building Skip’s future.Plus: paid time off, remote work, and the chance to grow with a company that’s taking off.Interested?
