We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join one of our projects in one of our client’s projects.It’s a temporary position, 6 months contract (extension not disclosed).English is required as it’s an international project.

Your Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain robust batch and real-time data pipelines in production environmentsOptimize data infrastructure for precise extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sourcesDevelop ETL processes to extract, manipulate, and transform data from multiple sourcesDesign, develop, and maintain data models supporting Otto Car's products, data, and operational processesAutomate data workflows including ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing for enhanced efficiencyPrepare raw data in Data Warehouses into digestible datasets for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and functional leaders to deploy machine learning models in productionBuild, maintain, and deploy data products for analytics and data science teams on cloud platforms, specifically AWSEnsure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through rigorous quality control proceduresMonitor data systems performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliabilityLeverage data controls to maintain privacy, security, compliance, and quality standardsAnalyze and mitigate potential impacts of technical changes on business and technical processesEvaluate project constraints and devise alternative solutions to reduce risks while driving process re-engineering effortsFoster transparency within the team by openly addressing challenges, failures, and successes

Requirements:3+ years of experience as a data engineerBachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or similar fieldAdvanced SQL skills and proficiency with relational databases and database designExperience with cloud Data Warehouse solutions, preferably AWS (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure)Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models and reporting solutions in productionFamiliarity with DataOps principles and best practicesStrong proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, C++, or ScalaProficient in scripting languages like BashStrong proficiency in data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Azkaban)Excellent numerical, analytical, project management, and organizational skillsExceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
