The OpportunityWe are hiring a Mid-Level UX Writer for our Product team in Brazil
This role joins the Product Development team, responsible for content strategy for customer-facing products, and to leverage UX writing practices and operations. The position reports directly to the Director of UX.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a global ecosystem. The UX Writing team crafts the words and messages that guide users, clients, and partners through Wellhub products and services (from error messages to onboarding flows). We design communication solutions to guide and engage, simplify complex concepts, and champion consistency.
Your Impact- Be the voice of UX Writing in project teams, explaining your rationale to developers, product designers, and product managers. Use creative thinking to approach problems innovatively and challenge the status quo.
- Turn complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling copy considering the brand’s tone and voice, readability, and layout.
- Write interface copy for all Wellhub products, including headlines, body copy, calls to action, navigation labels, error messages, onboarding flows, FAQs, and transactional emails.
- Maintain consistency and storytelling throughout the user’s journey within the product.
- Be interested in accessibility basics and apply them in your copy.
- Be an independent thinker and contribute to improving the voice and tone in the company’s style guide.
- Collaborate across the organization to promote UX writing as a discipline.
- Be confident in UX knowledge and open to improving usability, accessibility, and research. Writing is one part of the job.
- Be proactive, prioritize your workload, and take initiative.
- Engage in planning and moderating collaborative activities, like writing critiques.
- Live the mission by caring for your own wellbeing and that of colleagues, bringing wellbeing to the forefront of work, and supporting work-life balance.
You’re enthusiastic and curious about the possibilities of digital writing. You keep up with the latest technical and storytelling trends and apply them in day-to-day work.
- Excellent communicator who makes points understandable without excessive jargon.
- A constant learner of UX and research trends, engaging in conversations about topics with enthusiasm.
- 2+ years of experience in UX writing, content strategy, technical writing, or related UX-focused roles (not Marketing/Advertising).
- Ability to test with prototypes (rough drafts, sketches, paper prototypes, working prototypes) is a plus; experience with accessibility is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop recommendations from evidence.
- Excellent English communication skills (Spanish is a plus).
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
- A portfolio demonstrating writing for digital experiences (websites, chatbots, apps, games) is a plus.
