Software Engineer

São Paulo, Brazil – ONSITE

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Developer Support Engineer to help onboard engineering teams to our centralized tooling ecosystem, including MOSS Tier 1 and Tier 2 repositories using Maven , PyPI , and npm . You will be responsible for supporting developers during the onboarding process, resolving toolchain issues, and contributing to documentation and automation efforts to improve the developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for developers during product onboarding to prioritized repositories and tools.
  • Answer general inquiries and provide guidance on onboarding workflows and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot common environment and tool configuration issues (e.g., IDE setup, dependency resolution, build errors).
  • Investigate and resolve issues with missing or broken artifacts/dependencies; escalate licensing or access problems as needed.
  • Maintain and continuously improve onboarding documentation, FAQs, and support guides.
  • Collaborate with tooling and platform teams to format technical material for LLM-powered knowledge systems.
  • Track and log onboarding metrics and manual support effort to inform automation needs.
  • Identify patterns in recurring issues and provide feedback for tooling improvements and automation pilots.
  • Propose permanent fixes or documentation changes based on support findings.
  • Maintain dashboards and generate regular reports on onboarding progress, success rates, and developer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a developer support, DevOps support, or engineering enablement role.
  • Hands-on experience with build and packaging tools : Maven, PyPI/pip, npm.
  • Proficient with Git and version control practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, especially in Linux/macOS development environments .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence , Markdown , or internal wikis.
  • Familiarity with Jira, ticketing systems, and basic usage of dashboards and metrics tools.
  • Experience working with MOSS or similar secure code onboarding frameworks.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of licensing issues (open-source compliance, access control).
  • Knowledge of how to structure technical content for LLM optimization (searchability, Q&A format).
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash) for automating repetitive tasks is a plus.
