Principal Applied Scientist

**About the project**:
**Duration: 4** weeks
**Stage**: Assessment and Proof of Concept
**Areas of Responsibility**:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of current business challenges and opportunities for AI integration
- Lead the identification and prioritization of GenAI use cases specific to client
- Perform detailed risk assessments and ROI calculations for proposed AI solutions
- Oversee data collection, preprocessing, and model development for the PoC
- Collaborate with the AI Delivery Manager to ensure project milestones are met
- Develop a detailed MVP roadmap and project proposal for full-scale implementation
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Guide the team in implementing best practices for AI development and deployment
**Skills**:
- Hands-on machine learning and engineering experience with:
- Generative AI tools and platforms (GPT, StableDiffusion, etc)
- Managed solutions (AWS SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock)
- Custom implementation of GenAI algorithms
- Experience with large language model fine-tuning and prompt engineering
- Strong technical documentation development skills
- Expertise in developing scalable, production-ready AI solutions
**Knowledge**:
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Information Retrieval and Semantic Search
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and deep learning architectures
- Familiarity with ethical AI practices and responsible AI development
**Experience**:
- Machine learning and GenAI solution delivery (>5 years)
- Experience working with large language models and generative AI technologies (>2 years)
- Independent contractor experience (>2 projects >10k)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or related fields (>4 years)
