Coordinator, Collections & Recovery role at Volvo Financial Services. What You Will Do

As the Collections Coordinator, you will lead the administrative collections team, ensuring efficient credit recovery, excellent customer service, and compliance with company goals. This role blends strategic and operational leadership to drive continuous improvement in collections processes and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Activities Include
  • Coordinating internal and external collections teams, managing two outsourced agencies, and ensuring adherence to Volvo’s compliance and service standards.
  • Developing and implementing effective collections strategies to maximize recovery rates.
  • Monitoring portfolios, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Managing governance, KPIs, reports, and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Negotiating with high-value customers on payments, contract modifications, and voluntary equipment returns.
  • Training and developing team members to strengthen negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments, including Finance, Sales, Legal, IT, Customer Relations, Remarketing, Compliance, HR, and Accounting.

This position requires a professional who can balance analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership to deliver strong results in a complex environment.

Your Future Team

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and leaders, acting as a strategic partner to improve processes, manage risk, and maintain customer trust. This is a leadership position based in Curitiba, with travel requirements and high exposure to senior stakeholders.

We are looking for a results-oriented professional with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications
  • Education: bachelor’s degree in Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related areas. Postgraduate studies in Financial Management, Leadership, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong experience in managing banking collections departments.
  • Expertise: data analytics, AI-driven tools, process improvement, and project management.
  • Technical Skills: advanced Excel, CRM systems, ERP, and analytics for collections performance (score models, A/B testing, etc.).
  • Languages: fluent in Portuguese and English (written and verbal); Spanish is a plus.
  • Other: valid driver’s license and availability for travel.
