Are you a highly skilled Python developer looking for a new challenge? Our client is seeking an experienced software engineer to join their team as a Python Developer. This fully remote position will involve collaborating with a U.S.-based team to design and develop APIs and data-driven applications.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Python-based application and API development, with a strong focus on Django/DRF or Flask expertise. They will also have a deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience with Redis and background workers.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a solid understanding of RESTful API design standards and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work well as part of a team, share their experiences, and contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop APIs and data-driven applications using Python and related technologies
  • Collaborate daily with data scientists, product owners, team members, API developers, architects, and DevOps engineers
  • Mentor other developers and share best practices
  • Implement testing methodologies to meet quality standards
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in Python-based application and API development with strong Django/DRF or Flask expertise
  • Deep experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Redis and background workers
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to discuss previous projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Angular experience for frontend (highly desirable)
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
