Local Unit & Position Description:
- Deliver structural, stability, hydrodynamic and mooring analyses of offshore (floating and fixed) structures
- Develop in-service inspection plan for offshore (floating and fixed) structures
- Interact with other team members in a manner that is professional and promotes collaboration
- Customer interface and associated sales skills by effectively communicating project progress and identify new opportunities
- Writing and support deliverying technical reports
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Naval Architect
- Master or Doctorate degree is desirable
- Experience in structural, stability, hydrodynamic and mooring analyses of offshore (floating and fixed) structures
- Familiarity with software related to structural, stability, hydrodynamic and mooring analyses
- Familiarity with rules, codes and standards
- Digitalization mindset
- Office package
- Fluent in English
- Basic Spanish.
- Portuguese native
- Excellent communication skills-including the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Problem solving capacity
- Critical thinking
- Ability to pick up technical concepts quickly
- Ability to completely undertake technical activities with limited supervision
- Ability to speak with a wide variety of clients for the purpose of communicating DNV GL services and capabilities
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Initiative independent of direct instruction
- Ability to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individually
- Ability to handle fast pace, high demand environments with stress management skills
