Team and Role Get to Know our Team: We are looking for world-class development managers to lead our mobile platform for the booking area and bring it to the number one spot. The development manager role at Agoda is significant and challenging, requiring hands-on technical excellence, solid engineering principles, and strong leadership and people development skills. The mobile platform for the booking area is a core team involved in new feature development for native mobile capabilities on screens such as Manage My Booking, Booking Form, Payment Form, and Wallet. As the team’s development manager, you will drive execution, design decisions, and a strategy to adopt latest technologies while leading engineers’ professional growth. Responsibilities Lead collaboration with product managers to shape and execute projects, guide technical decisions, and occasionally contribute hands-on. Work closely with the central mobile platform team to ensure adoption of the latest platform features and drive a roadmap for continuous code cleanup and robust testing strategies to ensure high-quality delivery. Balance technical product management (what and why) with project management (how and when) for feature development in a large, critical area. Drive full-stack engineering approach, including native iOS and Android development, and adoption of cross-platform technologies where appropriate. Coordinate with stakeholders and report to senior leadership to help make strategic decisions. Recruit and develop A-players, fostering an environment where engineers grow and contribute effectively. What you’ll Need to Succeed Extremely proficient in either Swift or Kotlin. Experience with or interest in cross-platform technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native, Flutter, NativeScript, Ionic. Knowledge of other languages (e.g., Objective-C, Java, C#, Scala) is a plus. Proficient in modern coding practices (dependency injection, reactive programming, MVVM, design patterns). Passionate about technology and mobile apps. Experience working in a successful Agile development team. Ability to take full responsibility for the product—from early planning through deployment and maintenance.
