Python Software Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Python developer to join our team of experts in the food and agricultural industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing APIs and data-driven applications using Python and related technologies.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your expertise in Python, Django/DRF or Flask, SQL, and NoSQL databases will be invaluable in this position.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and refactoring software features for customer-facing SaaS applications and APIs
  • Applying Python and SQL to efficiently manage and transform large datasets
  • Collaborating daily with data scientists, product owners, API developers, architects, and DevOps engineers
  • Mentoring junior and senior developers, sharing best practices and expertise
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Python application development, preferably with strong Django/DRF or Flask expertise
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Redis and background workers (Celery/RQ)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to discuss previous projects
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge of object-oriented patterns and how they apply in Python application development
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and instincts
  • Self-motivated, comfortable working within an Agile software development team
  • Must be bilingual in English and Portuguese
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Angular experience for frontend development
  • Experience with containerization using Docker
  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps for source code and build pipeline management
  • Experience handling big datasets with Python packages like Pandas, NumPy, PyArrow, etc.
  • Basic Linux environment knowledge
  • AWS knowledge (ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
