Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing data models, integrating data from disparate sources, and building robust scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for modernizing, maintaining, and developing an e-commerce platform serving millions of omnichannel customers each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing a solution to support processing of big data volumes and integrating it with the current architecture.
  • Leading a distributed team to achieve project goals.
  • Implementing data warehousing solutions using dimensional modeling and star schemas.

Mandatory Skills

Azure Expertise: Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory and Synapse (3+ years).

Ledership: Experience in leading a distributed team.

Data Modeling: Expertise in designing and implementing data models including conceptual, logical, physical data models for efficient storage and retrieval.

CLOUD TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Knowledge of Microsoft Azure including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, pySpark for building scalable reliable data solutions.

ETL Pipeline Development: Extensive experience building robust scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract transform load data from various sources into data lakes or data warehouses.

API Integration: Ability to integrate data from disparate sources using API integration or message queuing.

SQL Proficiency: Proficiency in designing implementing data warehousing solutions dimensional modeling star schemas Data Mesh Data/Delta Lakehouse Data Vault.

Performance Tuning: Proficiency in SQL to perform complex queries data transformations performance tuning on cloud-based data storages.

Metadata Governance: Experience integrating metadata governance processes into cloud-based data platforms.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Elasticsearch: Experience with Elasticsearch.

Containerization Orchestration Technologies: Familiarity with containerization orchestration technologies Docker Kubernetes.

Troubleshooting Performance Tuning: Ability to identify resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing workflows optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion analysis.
