Purpose and Objectives

Application Foundation team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will participate and drive efforts to build a scalable system designed to process large volumes of complex commercial business scenarios. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing enterprise-grade products and services that leverage various tools and technologies. You will work together with your development leads, product owners, product managers, and development operations colleagues in your team and other teams to create value for our customers, delivering top quality engineering outputs.

What you bring

Required

University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and excellent experience in software product development with a focus on developing cloud services and solutions.

Strong advocate for Agile development processes with experience implementing well-run, agile processes in multiple functions including Development, QA, Release & Deployment.

Previous experience with business applications like S/4HANA Cloud, public & private edition and SAP's Digital Supply Chain solutions is highly desirable.

Participate in customer incidents promptly and ensure concerns are addressed within the SLA period.

Beneficial: Experience with all phases of software development, delivery and Cloud SaaS service ownership.

Required technology exposure & experience:

• SaaS delivery based on microservice architecture.
• Cloud integration and deployment on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go and Java.
• Demonstrate understanding and expertise in DevOps methodologies and principles.
• Fluent English language skills, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Software Delivery: Write code, build services and deliver product by executing against a committed delivery timeline. You may be required to participate in DevOps activities including on-duty 24/7 support shifts when it is your shift.

Growing Knowledge of the Development Landscape: Together with the team Product Manager and in partnership with the Development Manager, you write code, test and run the service, taking ownership of the complete software development lifecycle, designing, leading implementation, and testing of new features, ensuring adoption by stakeholders within a fast-paced, agile environment.

Product Support: Manage customer expectations via product support ensuring high standards in incident processing, quality of interactions, and fixes that are delivered. Development Expertise: Provide functional, architectural guidance to the team.
