PROCESS ENGINEERING MANAGERJob Overview:

Responsible for Process Engineering activities at the Belford Roxo site. This position is part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and manages a team of 1-3 technical engineering professionals. Responsible for key elements and activities of the site PSM program such as calorimetry studies, chemical reaction hazards assessment, pressure relief verifications, HAZOP, LOPA, MAH management, etc. Responsible for process design activities in close collaboration with the site Project Engineering organization to effectively execute the capital plan for the site, including coordination with engineering design houses and contractors. Coordinates kaizen activities focused on improving safety and efficiency of plant processes. Supports product localization activities in collaboration with sales and product management teams. Acts as the site focal point for new technology deployment in liaison with the global process technology team. Supports plant operations by identifying and investigating root causes of abnormalities in manufacturing processes. Responsible for team skills development and talent management.

Accountabilities:
  • Understand, adhere to, and promote Lubrizol's Code of Ethics & Compliance.
  • Support the development of an integrated Process Safety Management (PSM) system, using high-quality risk analysis tools such as HAZOP, LOPA, CHAZOP, OBRA, FSS, etc. Manage MAH identification and documentation such as PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Champion the Management of Change (MOC) process for the site.
  • Lead plant process design activities and support capital projects.
  • Develop and lead process improvement projects and new technology deployment.
  • Develop and implement emissions reduction plans.
  • Lead process mapping initiatives to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Represent the site in regional and global technical forums and initiatives.
  • Support daily plant activities, including problem solving and root cause analysis of process deviations.
  • Deliver technical training to site teams.
Education / Skills:
  • Chemical Engineering degree.
  • 10-15 years of experience in process and/or project management in hazardous chemical plants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • SAP knowledge is desirable.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Good teamworking skills.
