Overview

Our Forensic Intelligence & Investigations practice provides professional consulting to resolve conflict through fact-finding and critical analysis. We conduct thousands of due diligences and investigations worldwide and work with in-house and outside counsel in internal or regulatory inquiries.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research of companies, individuals, events, using a wide array of sources: public databases, commercial and proprietary databases, and the internet.
  • Conduct research through site visits and interviews of sources identified.
  • Analyze client-provided data, such as financial records, internal documents and policies.
  • Plan research time and tasks to meet objectives set by the project manager.
  • Develop understanding of the strengths, appropriate uses and limitations of research tools and methods.
  • Identify patterns, abnormalities and interpret their meaning within a context.
  • Organize findings methodically to facilitate analysis and reporting.
  • Verify and corroborate pertinent and noteworthy findings.
  • Identify gaps and follow leads within the parameters of objectives, timeframe and budget.
  • Present accurate, relevant and robust findings to clients.
Essential Traits
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Strong investigative abilities
  • Prior investigative or research experience is a plus
  • Writing skills, including the ability to quickly and effectively summarize information from multiple sources into concise analytical assessments
  • Financial proficiency and skills preferred
  • Experience in forensic accounting, investigations, business intelligence, finance or due diligence is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree required – preference for Accounting and Finance degrees, Law, International Relations and Journalism
  • Native/Fluent Portuguese and English. Spanish a plus
