To join the team at Brazilian Biorenewables National Laboratory (LNBR)Main Activities- Design strategies and construct new strains of genetically modified microorganisms using DNA assembly, cloning and CRISPR-Cas9 techniques to produce chemicals from renewable sources and/or optimize productivity and yield of metabolic pathways- Set up and perform experiments related to strain development (including adaptative evolution) and characterization ( ex. genomics, transcriptomic, metabolomic)- Rigorous documentation of experimental procedures and data. Proficient data collection, management, and interpretation- Supervise students and collaborators in the field- Develop and submit proposals to funding agenciesRequired Qualifications- Ph.D. in biotechnology or related areas.
