POSITION SUMMARY Vistage is looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Software Quality Engineer to join our geographically distributed QA team. This is a fully remote role designed for a dedicated individual contributor who excels at finding complex defects through meticulous manual and exploratory testing. You will work hands-on within our core technology stack, including the Salesforce platform, WordPress, and various proprietary applications. Your primary focus will be on designing comprehensive test documentation, executing rigorous test plans, and collaborating closely with remote development teams to ensure our software products are reliable and deliver exceptional value to our global membership. Learn more about us at RESPONSIBILITIES Test Design and Documentation Test Artifact Creation: Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, comprehensive test cases, and use cases that fully cover functional, regression, and integration requirements. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with Product Owners and developers to understand user stories and technical designs, ensuring all testing captures the intended functionality and business impact. Documentation Maintenance: Be responsible for ensuring all test documentation and quality assurance ELF are up-to‑date and accurately reflect the current state of our software features. Manual Test Execution and Defect Management Rigorous Testing: Execute complex manual, exploratory, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across our applications in an Agile environment. Ecosystem Validation: Focus on testing integrations between different systems (Salesforce, WordPress, निकाल tools) to identify cross‑platform data flow and functional issues. Defect Precision: Log, track, and manage software defects meticulously using JIRA/Xray, providing clear reproduction steps, environment details, and expected results. Validation: Verify fixes and new deployments, ensuring that bugs are resolved and new features meet the required quality standards without introducing regressions. Technical Skills and Collaboration Data Integrity: Perform basic data validation by writing and executing SQL queries against our backend databases. Remote Collaboration: Proactively communicate risks, issues, and test progress with the team and stakeholders, effectively navigating a remote and multi‑timezone work environment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 3+ years ofിഎ professional experience as a Software Quality Engineer or similar role. Manual Testing Expert: Deep expertise and proven track record in designing and executing complex manual, exploratory, and end‑to‑end testing. QA Tool Proficiency: Strong practical experience with JIRA and test management tools such as Xray (or equivalent for test case creation and tracking). Salesforce Experience: Direct testing experience on the Salesforce platform, including custom applications, configuration changes, and data integrity checks. Data Validation: Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for backend data verification and validation. Remote Success: Proven ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fully remote environment, managing workload and delivering results with minimal supervision. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with testing applications built on WordPress. Basic understanding of REST APIs and testing tools like Postman. Familiarity with foundational test automation concepts or frameworks. Certification or specialized training in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
