Job Overview

Redefine the embedded Linux experience with the smallest, most secure, and most reliable operating system in the IoT market. This is an opportunity for a technical engineering manager passionate about open source software, Linux, containers, security, and developer experience, to shape the future of Linux from small systems to desktops. The role requires a high level of technical and management skills.

Our mission is to enable everyone to build robust solutions in fields like IoT, automotive, and aviation using the next-generation secure embedded Linux OS. We focus on reliable device recovery mechanisms that simplify and standardize field operations for diverse appliances.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development
  • Contribute technically to your team's goals, demonstrating sound engineering principles
  • Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions addressing business needs
  • Manage expectations with engineering teams, management, and stakeholders
  • Promote modern, agile software development practices and organizational excellence
  • Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values
  • Participate in leadership discussions and collaborate with other organizational leaders
  • Work remotely with biannual travel for company events
Qualifications
  • Passion for technology and working with talented teams
  • Curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
  • Experience in developing and growing engineering talent
  • Strong background in software development and leadership
  • Experience in agile environments
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related fields
  • Experience with embedded software, Golang, C/C++, Shell scripting
  • Good understanding of Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu
