Solution Seeker - with headquarters in Norway and a subsidiary in Brazil - is a scaleup building software and AI for industrial production optimization, turning data into value and strategic insight for our users.

Our software streams live sensor data from production facilities worldwide, processed in an event-driven, distributed system using patented algorithms to identify stable periods and select the most valuable data points for our machine learning models.

On top of this, we develop applications that help customers visualize and contextualize their data with our predictions and analyses, enabling them to make better production decisions. Beyond client work, we dedicate significant time and resources to cutting-edge machine learning research, including generative and probabilistic modeling, hybrid modeling (combining physics and ML), data-driven production optimization, and closed-loop identification.

As a Data Scientist, you will work hands-on with our data and play a key role in addressing some of the most important technical and strategic challenges we face. Your tasks may include:

• Analyzing large volumes of production data to solve real customer challenges
• Developing and optimizing our machine learning models
• Designing and building applications based on customer needs
• Preparing and delivering insightful presentations internally and externally
• Contributing to strategic initiatives such as go-to-market plans, positioning, and delivery models

You'll develop both technical and business expertise in a growing scaleup, giving you a strong foundation for future growth, whether you aim to specialize technically, move into business roles, or step into leadership.

• Fluency in English and Portuguese , both written and spoken (English will be your main working language)
• Willingness to live 12 months in Oslo, Norway (from Feb 2026) and return to Rio to join the Brazilian team once your initial rotation is over.
• Interest in digitalization, machine learning, and AI
• Basic understanding of programming and strong logical reasoning skills
• Ability to take initiative and deliver results
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Being Brazilian or possessing a valid work permit to work in Brazil (once your rotation in Oslo is over)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Our tech stack is large and we do not expect you to know all of it, but any familiarity would be greatly appreciated skills
• Familiarity with Python
• Experience working with large datasets
• Experience/knowledge of Plotly Dash
• Experience studying or working abroad
• Experience with simulation, optimization, and modeling
• Master's degree in engineering or a related field

To give you the best possible start before joining our Rio de Janeiro team, you'll spend your first year with us at our headquarters in Oslo, where you'll get a full onboarding into the company, our people, and our way of working. We will provide assistance related to obtaining the necessary visas/work permits before you can relocate to Oslo, and we will offer a competitive remuneration package for your stay in Norway, so you can focus on learning, contributing to the company, and enjoying the experience.
