This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Scientist in Latin America. As a Data Scientist, you will play a central role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and predictive models that drive business decisions. You will work on end-to-end data science projects, from data extraction and cleaning to model development and deployment, leveraging the Google Cloud ecosystem. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will design scalable data pipelines, implement advanced analytics, and contribute to machine learning initiatives including the use of Large Language Models (LLMs). • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL (Google BigQuery) and Python
• Develop and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines and workflows
• Apply vector-based representations and similarity measures (e.g., cosine similarity) for data-related tasks
• Build and deploy predictive models (classification, regression, time series) using Python ML libraries
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Google Looker to communicate insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align technical solutions with business goals, and deliver high-quality results
• Work with LLMs and APIs (e.g., Gemini API) for text understanding, enrichment, and workflow automation
• Perform manual data labeling, validation, and web research as needed to ensure data quality and integrity

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in end-to-end data science projects (problem framing, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, communication)
• 5+ years of SQL experience with large datasets, including ELT and optimization in Google BigQuery
• 5+ years of Python experience for data analysis and model building, with familiarity using Google Colab
• 3+ years of experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas and NumPy
• 2+ years of experience building predictive models and applying embeddings/similarity search
• 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud tools (BigQuery; Vertex AI is a plus)
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices, including code reviews
• Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding tools, preferably Looker
• Experience using LLMs and APIs for text understanding and automation workflows
• Entry-level knowledge of Salesforce
• Advanced English proficiency for communication with international clients
