The Role

As a Senior Compliance Lawyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are fully compliant with local regulations in all aspects of our operations. Your role will involve managing risk, offering legal advice, reviewing contracts and communications, and fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.

Main Activities

  1. Provide strategic legal guidance and support across departments.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other key legal documents.
  3. Stay updated on legislative changes in the iGaming industry, ensuring compliance and adaptability.
  4. Develop and enforce compliance policies aligned with regulations, corporate governance, and industry standards.
  5. Manage litigation and disputes, coordinating with external counsel when needed.
  6. Address consumer protection inquiries via Procon and Consumidor.gov, and support the ombudsman in resolving complaints.
  7. Conduct employee training on compliance and regulatory requirements and foster a proactive compliance culture.
  8. Partner with internal teams to align legal strategies with business goals.
  9. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, with an active OAB register.
  • Experience in compliance in the Brazilian Gaming and Betting Market.
  • In-depth knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Availability for frequent traveling.

Bonus

  • Experience in multi-cultural environments.
  • Compliance certification such as CAMS and/or other market-recognized certifications is a plus.
