About the role We’re looking for a Tech Lead to join the Winona Engineering team. As a Tech Lead, you’ll be a trusted advisor and own the entire technical lifecycle for assigned projects. You’ll tackle complex challenges, apply broad specialized skills, independently plan and execute project development, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts within the team. Responsibilities Provide technical direction and leadership for a single team, deciding on architecture, frameworks, and tools. Mentor and support engineers through regular one‑on‑one meetings. Escalate issues to Engineering Manager and HR as needed. Promote a healthy, safe, and collaborative work environment. Collaborate closely with engineers, contributing to hands‑on coding and implementation. Ensure code quality via code reviews, pair programming, and best practices. Work cross‑functionally with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable technical specifications. Troubleshoot complex technical issues during development and deployment. Develop and implement a comprehensive technical strategy aligned with product vision. Lead the team in designing and delivering high‑quality, scalable software solutions. Advocate industry best practices and maintain consistent coding standards. Identify and implement innovative technical solutions for complex functionalities. Decompose complex challenges into actionable tasks and prioritize workload. Conduct code reviews and mentor team members for technical growth. Foster collaboration, peer learning, and proactive conflict resolution. Monitor technology trends, evaluate relevance, and suggest improvements. Communicate effectively with clients through presentations and demos. Requirements & Qualifications 6+ years of software development experience, including 1–2 years in a technical lead or equivalent role. Mastery of relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Strong experience with Contentful, Webflow, WordPress, ReactJS, JavaScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Nuxt.js. Understanding of system architecture and design patterns. Expertise in agile development methodologies and project management tools. Proven planning, prioritization, and multi‑project management skills. Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong leadership, mentorship, and task delegation capabilities. Adaptability to evolving technologies and industry trends. Commitment to process improvement and driving change within teams.
