Data Engineer Position Eightpoint is seeking a seasoned data engineer to join its team. As a key member of the mobile applications department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data infrastructure and pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable data pipelines across cloud environments. Ingest and transform diverse data sources into centralized stores. Monitor and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure data quality monitoring, governance policies, and compliance with best practices. Technical Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in computer science or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience as a data engineer. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, with expertise in AWS (Redshift, RDS, S3) and Google Cloud (BigQuery, Firebase). Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow) is also desirable.About the Role: This is a hybrid position that combines data engineering with data science overlap. The successful candidate will have full ownership of the data lifecycle, from ingestion to transformation, analysis, and storytelling.
