We are seeking a self-motivated PowerBI / SQL Developer with three or more years of experience. This is a part-time 100% telecommuting position. Work is expected to be 20 hours per week with a start date of January 6, 2025.

You believe that a problem is “something to be solved” and you can use your creativity, inquisitiveness, and critical thinking to do that.

Requirements:

  1. At least three years of experience with Power BI
  2. Excellent experience with Power Query
  3. Proficient in creating complex DAX measures
  4. Experience with Azure
  5. Knowledge of table relationships and how they affect Power BI visuals
  6. Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
  7. Experience in SQLServer (2012 and higher)
  8. Experience with SSIS or Azure Data Factory
  9. Willingness to write clean code
  10. Experience with manipulating and creating data from various sources (JSON, CSV, Excel, XML)
  11. Experience in documenting code
  12. Experience in reading and understanding functional and technical requirements documentation
  13. Experience in taking functional requirements and doing the system design needed to implement
  14. Proficient in writing technical documentation that details your system design
  15. Proficient in Agile development methodology
  16. Knowledge in testing (unit, integration)
  17. Knowledge of software implementation best practices in enterprise development
  18. Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
  19. B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited university, or equivalent

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  2. Contribute to code reviewing
  3. Participate in product releases and meetings
  4. Provide production support as needed
  5. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  6. Research recent technologies for product development and apply the latest web technologies and techniques to enhance the product
  7. Enhance the existing system by understanding business objectives and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  8. Maintain existing systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  9. Back-end development in SQL and SSIS / Azure Data Factory
  10. Front-end PBI and back-end SQL development
  11. Managing more than one project at a time, as this is highly likely
  12. Translate functional and technical requirements to implement solutions
  13. Experience working remotely with team members who are located globally
  14. A dedicated and secure work environment with a reliable internet connection
  15. Proficiency in written and spoken English

This position requires a B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited university (or equivalent for degrees obtained outside of the US) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics & Statistics, or Mathematics.
