Reimbursement & Health Economics Sr. Manager (Latam) The LATAM Reimbursement & Health Economics Sr. Manager will be the first dedicated role of its kind in the region, responsible for the development and execution of reimbursement strategies and health economics initiatives across Latin America. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, this role will operate with a high degree of autonomy and serve as the primary point of contact for reimbursement and HEOR in LATAM, while working closely with local, regional, and cross‑functional teams. The focus will be on building strong payer and stakeholder relationships, developing compelling economic value propositions, and enabling reimbursement to Penumbra’s innovative portfolio. Responsibilities Reimbursement Develop and implement reimbursement strategies that will maintain existing products and support the successful launch long‑term adoption of Penumbra products in LATAM.* Write and submit reimbursement dossiers and/or health technology assessments (HTA) for Penumbra products. Communicate letters when needed to health authorities.* Serve as the regional expert in government reimbursement policies and areas of third‑party reimbursement, and payer processes.* Provide reimbursement guidance to internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, clinical, regulatory) and external customers (physicians, payers, trade associations). Partners with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, Clinical, and Legal to develop strategies that establish a compelling economic value proposition for Penumbra products and support and protect price points.* Develop reimbursement tools, communication materials and payer engagement strategies. Travel as needed to key markets to engage with relevant stakeholders (e.g. health authorities, payers, etc.) and represent Penumbra at congresses. Health Economics Identify HEOR evidence gaps and develop strategies to generate local and regional evidence to support Penumbra’s technologies.* Monitor evolving trends in health economics, HTA, and reimbursement policies in LATAM providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Adapt and deliver economic models using local data and work with sales/marketing to use the health economics value proposition to support uptake of the therapies. Develop and deliver real‑world evidence (RWE) analysis, burden‑of‑illness analyses, and literature/systematic reviews. Prepare clinical and economic dossiers to support submissions to health authorities and payer organizations.* Develop and deliver HEOR‑related training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal to increase awareness and understanding of HEOR competency and its role in supporting market adoption of Penumbra’s technologies. General Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.* Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.* Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.* Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. *Indicates an essential function of the role Position Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in economics, pharmacy, public health, health services research or related with 7+ years of experience in reimbursement and HEOR, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Biostatistics strongly preferred. Additional Qualifications Languages: Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Proven track record of developing and submitting reimbursement dossiers in LATAM, with strong experience in Brazil. Experience in medical devices is strongly preferred; hybrid backgrounds from pharma/biotech with robust HTA experience will also be considered. Direct experience working with vascular therapies devices is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in developing and adapting economic models (cost‑effectiveness, budget impact). Demonstrated success developing HEOR evidence strategies aligned with business needs, including the ability to influence senior leadership. Hands‑on experience with RWE generation and evidence synthesis. Strong analytical and strategic mindset with ability to translate evidence into business impact. Understanding of medical/clinical research methods and publication interpretation and ability to use evidence to support value proposition. Excellent communication skills to influence senior leaders, payers, and cross‑functional stakeholders. High emotional intelligence, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. About Penumbra, Inc.
