Your Role and Responsibilities

1. Global tax compliance management: Collaborating with global teams to ensure IBM complies with local and international tax regulations. This includes preparing and filing tax returns, tax planning, and collaborating in audits.
2. Process optimization: Identifying opportunities for improvement within tax processes and working with cross-functional teams to implement them, including finance, legal, and operations departments.
3. Tax reporting: Preparing tax reports (cash payment, tax provision, etc).
4. Global communication: As part of a COE team, fluency in English is desirable for effective collaboration with global teams and delivering strategic support.
5. This role requires technical expertise in taxes, understanding accounting processes and their impact, and a strong ability to work in a collaborative, international environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Degree in Accounting is required.
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory, preferably in an international context.
3. Expertise in direct taxes.
4. Experience in managing tax compliance for multiple legal entities and understanding global tax regulations.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Preference for candidates with a background in the Big 4 tax firms or large multinational companies' tax departments.
2. Knowledge of tax regulations in multiple countries is highly valued.
