**Essential Job Functions**:
- Receive,issue review, and process import/export documentation for an assigned base of accounts;
- Accept and Post pre alerts;
- Ensure to keep all KPI’s and company expectations in place;
- Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import accounts to their SOP;
- Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities;
- Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s);
- Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental;
- agency examinations that may be required;
- Other duties as assigned.
**Other Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance;
- Ability to read and interpret documents;
- Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills;
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook;
- Knowledgeable of international operations and freight/logistics optimization;
- Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills;
- Ability to develop and document processes and procedures;
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
Minimum 2 years related experience
Professional certification may be required in some areas.
