Join to apply for the X-ray Technologist role at Patient First Sign-On BonusStudent Loan AssistanceThe responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following: Obtaining quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure; Implementing safety procedures for patients, self, and staff to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation; Creating and documenting x-ray CD copies correctly according to Patient First guidelines. Labeling images and sleeves correctly when making these copies; Understanding the x-ray and processing equipment to ensure proper use; Using and understanding the bell system; Filing and maintaining all x-ray paperwork; Ensuring patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment; Understanding and using the Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen; Understanding and using the automated medical records system; Cleaning work area and biological cleanup following OSHA guidelines, along with other maintenance tasks as directed; Receiving, moving, and restocking supplies; Adhering to Patient First policies and procedures; Responding to physician and nurse requests promptly and respectfully; Completing checklists for the x-ray and treatment areas; Attending scheduled training classes and staff meetings; Being available as needed, with breaks and mealtimes subject to interruption for patient care and center operations; Operating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained. Minimum education and professional requirements include: At least 18 years of age; High school diploma or equivalent; Keyboarding experience; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; One year of clerical experience (preferred); One year of clinical experience (preferred); Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
