Regional Manager

Maximize business from existing contracts in the region by providing value added equipment and service. Generate profitable new business for the company via a planned and executed Business Development strategy. Maintain a high market profile within the industry, positively promoting the business at every opportunity. Develop forward strategies for developing and improving the region operations bases. Take full planning responsibility for the execution and be accountable for the delivery of the agreed budget, including P and L management. Manage the selection and set up of agency agreements as required to expand our business.
- Manage and develop short and long term business units while ensuring the health & safety of company employees and the protection of the environment.
- Organize and manage a personnel structure appropriate for the needs of the region in consultation with the Vice President.
- Recruitment of new personnel while retaining, motivating and managing existing personnel to create a ‘value-added’ team through a culture of openness and honesty.
- Continue to actively encourage organizational and personal continuous improvement strategies while identify and implement the necessary training required to improve the effectiveness of personnel.
- Ensure that all operations comply with appropriate local government regulations and requirements in addition to following WSI guidelines and procedures.
- Devise and implement a plan for existing and potential customers and agent visits to build strong relationships and business opportunities to ensure that the company is invited to tender on all relevant work scopes.
- Manage the preparation and issuance of customer quotations, tenders and prequalification, taking a pivotal role in the creation of required documentation.
- Gather market intelligence with regard to suppliers, competitors and customers, monitor business trends and feed back to Vice President up and coming developments and business opportunities.
- Create and monitor appropriate business metrics that accurately reflect the performance of business units while managing the region P and L.
- Maintain and continue to develop QHSE procedures specific to LATAM area ensuring a high quality of service and safety to our clients and personnel.
- Seek out and propose complimentary products and technologies capable of enhancing business performance and creating a sustainable competitive edge.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS**
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to understand and use basic mathematical skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Prior knowledge in oilfield rental business preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
**BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES**
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with very little supervision, even in difficult and complex situations. Strong financial understanding of rental business. Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time. Ability to lead, mentor and provide guidance to all direct reports.
