Field Service Technician – Responsibilities Provide installation support, field actions, maintenance, and repair on 2‑3 groups of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, electronic and optical (basic) instruments. Control spare parts under own responsibility to maximize customer uptime and field service‑related metrics. Conduct, understand complex system operation, documents and troubleshooting, and document according to local and Leica policies in a timely manner. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s or Technical Degree Experience Experience working with life science devices, medical devices, industry or related industry experience. Strong technical acumen — analytical with the ability to understand complex system operation, documents and troubleshooting. Language Portuguese & English (Advanced) — mandatory Spanish (Intermediate) — desirable Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements Ability to travel 80% — occasional overnight travel, must maintain flexible schedule, often with short notice. Occasional international travel may be required for attending customers and/or participating in trainings. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and valid passport.
