The responsibility of the Employment Investigator is to conduct a prompt, thorough, and fair investigation consisting of background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings in partnership with Employment Legal, HR and Employee Relations Advisors, and the business. This role will also have the opportunity to deliver ethics and compliance awareness programs and training designed proactively to address workplace issues.Please submit your resume in English to be considered.This role will report to the Global Ethics Office regional leader and:- Personally manage complex investigations end-to-end, including conducting intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews and debrief meetings;- Investigate high risk and highly sensitive cases relating to allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, conflict of interest, integrity, and other inappropriate behavior;- Partner with Employment Legal, HR and Employee Relations Advisors, Internal Audit, and the businesses to conduct prompt, thorough, and fair investigations;- Proactively identify and mitigate employment risks leveraging quantitative and qualitative data; and- Monitor and maintain the company's ethics hotline.- Prepare and conduct trainings on ethics and workplace matters.- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or foreign equivalent- 5+ years of experience investigating and advising on employment-related matters- Familiarity with Brazilian Labor Law and working with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)- Experience documenting and presenting investigation findings and recommendations to business leaders- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to explain complex topics in clear, concise, and understandable terms- Strong communicator/influencer with ability to work cross functionally and internationally.- Enthusiastic to develop internal framework and be proactive in helping us build out the Ethics Office investigations functionality.- Facilitation and training experience- Fluency in Portuguese and English (resumes must be submitted in English)Preferred Qualifications- Formal investigations training and/or certification- Relationship management experience in a cross-functional environment across global teams- Fluency in Spanish preferredTikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
