Overview Software Engineer - M365 at Microsoft. Join a remote team building the fastest‑growing cloud services. Design and ship high‑scale, low‑latency services that power Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and more. Responsibilities Drive projects through to delivery, removing obstacles to ensure success. Contribute to the design of large‑scale distributed software services and solutions. Write clean, well‑tested code. Champion and improve team software engineering practices. Mentor junior engineers. Collaborate with related teams to achieve goals. Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to onboarding documentation. Participate in the on‑call rotation to monitor service health and manage incidents. Qualifications Main Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent experience. At least 1 year of experience in software design and backend service development. 1+ year(s) of hands‑on experience in an object‑oriented language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or equivalent experience with C. Proficiency in English for effective communication. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Ability to communicate technical details clearly. Experience in DevOps for live services or application frameworks. Cloud services experience; Azure experience is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to software design. Passion for building reliable, well‑tested services. Experience with Agile and iterative development processes.
