The Boeing Company is seeking a **Senior** **Regulatory Affairs Specialist** for Latin America, reporting to the Global Safety and Regulatory Affairs - Latin America leader working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office.The **Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist** will support the Boeing Product & Services Safety organization as a technical liaison with Boeing International, Latin America region governmental agencies, primarily the Civil Aviation Authorities, and various industry and trade organizations in the region on technical and regulatory issues and policies. The individual plays a vital role in developing, maintaining and enhancing key regulatory relationships.
The **Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist** will be responsible in analyzing regulatory policy impact to Boeing businesses, develop and execute project plans to support or mitigate those impacts. They will build relationships across the regulatory landscape and industry stakeholders, and across Boeing teams to coordinate visibility of and response to technical and regulatory issues.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develops, maintains and utilizes personal and organizational relationships with applicable regulatory authorities within Latin America and Caribbean region in order to support stakeholder alignment and success
- Monitors and responds to technical developments including certification, safety, and regulatory issues, including coordinating and developing impact assessments for regulatory policy changes.
- Develops integrated plans, and establishes and leads cross-organizational teams to respond to regulatory and policy changes and to proactively advocate for Boeing strategic objectives
- Develops and executes communication strategies and messaging for a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Represents Boeing on technical committees and at conferences or events within Latin America and Caribbean region.

**Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience)**:
- 5+ years of experience in Aviation Regulatory environment
- Experience with regulatory processes, certification, working with civil aviation regulations, safety processes, or policy development
- Bachelor degree in related field- Must be fluent in both verbal and written business English and Portuguese
- Experience with integration of technical impacts and plans across multiple functions
- Must be able to work legally in Brazil
**Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills & Experience)**:
- fluent in both verbal and written Spanish
**Typical Education**:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
