We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.The Role- Design, implementation, and maintenance of firewall systems that protect our systems and data from potential threats.- Deep understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain firewall solutions that align with the organization's security policies and standards.- Monitor network traffic and analyze logs to identify and respond to security incidents and breaches.- Configure and fine-tune firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to ensure optimal protection.- Conduct regular security assessments of the network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.- Investigate and resolve security-related incidents, working closely with IT teams and management to mitigate risks.- Develop and maintain documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and procedures.- Participate in the development of disaster recovery and incident response plans to ensure network resiliency and business continuity.- Provide training and knowledge sharing to IT teams and employees to enhance their understanding of network security practices.- Act as an escalation point for resolution of day-to-day requests and operational issues as needed on a global scale.- Work closely with our customers providing recurring updates and management reports for security requests and day-to-day operations.Also, as soft skills:- Work in stand-by and overtime mode, when necessary, to cover the support 24/7 of the client.- Participate of migrations projects, with your network skills, to help the company consolidate signings.- Follow the company strategies, presented by the leadership.- When needed, to help to support the accounts under the network support team in Brazil.- Participate in all meetings and stand ups that the leadership present as mandatory.- Work with strong teamwork mindset.- Upskilling mindset- Work to complete the mandatory trainings before the target date.- Work to avoid escalation regarding mandatory BAU activities.- Work with strong leadership mindset.- Be prepared to take on activities according to the business needs of accounts and Kyndryl, as trainings, presentations, mentoring, share expertise, etc.- Keep updated the environment that you work.- Sometimes will be necessary face-to-face meetings in the Kyndryl offices.Who You AreJob Qualifications- Experience in an information security, risk, audit or compliance role deploying enterprise security solutions such as Cisco ASA and Firepower, Checkpoint and Palo Alto with a proven track record of success operating in a complex, ambiguous environment- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewall platforms- Broad experience using a variety of monitoring and ticket management tools- Availability to work weekend shiftsSkills & Knowledge:- Strong customer communication skills- Analytical mindset and have excellent troubleshooting skills- Ability to resolve network issues quickly and effectively- Network design, Routing, DNS, IP Subnetting- Familiarity and/or experience with multiple network and security technologies including: global telecom transports, routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), switching, capacity management, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, network security controls, network monitoring- Knowledge and proven expertise in security technologies; Cisco ASA, Firepower, Checkpoint and Palo Alto and related security services;- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security vulnerabilities and incidents.- Fluent in English; excellent oral and written communication skills required, including the ability to communicate and present across all management and organizational levels are required;Desired Requirements:- Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)- Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSA)- CCNP SecurityAnd is important to mention, your skills in routers, networking controllers, bridges, and networking software will be essential as you troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors to install the latest hardware and software, such as routers and switches.
