Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer to architect and manage resilient data platforms across AWS and GCP environments.

This role demands expertise in Amazon EMR, Google Cloud Dataproc, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform to implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions that support data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Design big data clusters with Amazon EMR and Google Cloud Dataproc
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Ansible and Terraform
  • Manage containerized environments effectively through Kubernetes
  • Build cloud-native solutions for data storage, processing, and integration workflows
  • Identify and resolve performance or reliability issues in distributed systems and data pipelines
  • Collaborate with teams to align implementations with business requirements
  • Maintain compliance with security standards in cloud platforms
  • Support continuous integration and deployment for cloud infrastructure
  • Perform ongoing maintenance of cloud-based big data platforms
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with Amazon EMR and Google Cloud Dataproc in production
  • Expertise in Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • Background in Kubernetes for containerized application management
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or GCP for building cloud-based infrastructure and data solutions
  • Proficiency in distributed systems, networking, and cloud security
  • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in large-scale cloud systems
  • Strong analytical skills and effectiveness in cross-functional teamwork
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with additional AWS and GCP services
  • Understanding of Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automation
  • Competency in designing hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
