- Job Purpose
The Officer (Second Engineer / 2nd Engineer) of the PLSVs will assume tasks assigned or directed by the Chief Engineer.
Job Description
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment under the responsibility of the Engine Department.
- Must be familiar with the machinery and systems so that, in an emergency, essential services can be safely and quickly restored. Additionally, must have a full understanding of the company's procedures, policies, and instructions and comply with them. Must ensure that subordinates are properly trained.
- Ensure that maintenance and repair work carried out in the Engine Department is adequately supervised and performed safely, without contravening applicable rules and regulations.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the planned maintenance system.
- Comply with work orders received for the proper operation, conservation, and cleaning of all engines and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning.
- Keep maintenance control updated through the planned maintenance system.
- You are meant for this job if:
- Have completed EFOMM, ASOM, or ATOM training.
- Certificate of Competence (COC) - III/1.
- CIR - 2nd Engineer.
- STCW - Fast Rescue Boats Course completed.
- EBCP.
- IMCA.
- Advanced English.
- Solid knowledge of PLSV-type vessels.
