Senior Associate

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Associate for LATAM Payments to work in the Transformation Design & Delivery (TDD) department in São Paulo, Brazil.
The successful candidates will be involved in initiatives focused on accelerating payments business growth through Treasury Services innovation and capacity increasing.
There will be significant exposure & visibility to senior management. This role is ideal for highly motivated individuals with advanced problem-solving, strong technical analysis, and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Represent LATAM Operations requirements in several project squads in payment products, focused on Real Time Payments, Liquidity, Account Services, and Automation.
- Coordinate and formalize operational requirements derived from projects and new products in partnership with Products, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Liaise effectively between lines of business with empathy and understanding to achieve common and strategic goals as a team.
- Collaboratively contribute to program updates.
- Coordinate testing planning: define testing scope and UAT completion strategy to help the team achieve goals.
- Coordinate implementation plans from an Operations perspective.
- Maintain stakeholders updated on the project’s status and next steps.
- Prepare senior management presentations highlighting progress against milestones, risks, issues, and any barriers requiring escalation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Deep understanding of payments and collections platforms and operational processing systems.
- Extensive familiarity and experience leading people, understanding operational requirements, and suggesting solutions to optimize operational processes aligned with business interests.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to differing audiences in multiple regions; strong communication skills in English to negotiate internal priorities among project stakeholders in Latin America.
- Capability to create documents containing business and functional requirements and diagrams of current and future flows from an Operations perspective.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Agile concepts and project management concepts.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Technology to identify barriers preventing efficient change deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in Payments Business required (preferred knowledge in LATAM products as this role will provide coverage to the Latin America region).
- Fluent in English; Spanish skills are also required.
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (oral and written).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, Business, or related areas - required.
- Project Methodology Qualification is required.
- Agile methodology skills – preferred.
- Knowledge in Operations for Payments products is desired.
The position will be based in the São Paulo Office.
